I was curious if anyone could direct me on how to add the calendar widget within my theme. For example, I would like to add the widget to the home page (not contained in the sidebar or widget area).
Can this be accomplished? I appreciate the help!
I don’t believe you can do that, currently, at least not without a lot of extra work. This is a known issue and will hopefully be sorted in a future release.
The best strategy for the time being is to register a new sidebar for this use only and embed it that way.
