Ad banner widget above calendar?

I would like to sell a sponsor banner to be placed above the event calendar. Is there any way for me to add a widget. Or…?

Hi Joseph – anything is possible!

If this has to be a widget then you’ll probably want to register a new sidebar (or reuse an existing one) and position it above the events calendar.

You would do this by editing your templates – which one exactly depends on your Events > Settings > Template > Events Template setting – but a custom ecp-page-template.php might be a good choice here if you’re setup to use the Default Events Template.

Hi Barry, Thanks! Your answer is clear and complete. My problem is I am a full time musician and not a programer. I checked the things you suggested but they are beyond my ability. Any folks out there who can do the job for me at modest cost?
