Michelle
MemberSomehow this became deactivated on my site. Tried to reactivate by following http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/installation/ and it left a crazy error message at the top of the page. Please advise ASAP. Have many events that need posting on my site.

MemberHey Michelle. Thanks for the note. Can you confirm that there isn’t a custom ‘events’ folder in your theme directory, and that the site is running all the plugin files from the plugin folder itself (rather than modified templates used for a template override)? If you have custom code in there try stripping that out.
Then, make sure on your Plugins list that you only have one version of The Events Calendar (2.0.4) and one version of Events Calendar PRO (also 2.0.4) active. Also, just to be sure: you’re on the latest build of WordPress as well…correct?
Let me know what happens with the suggestions above and I can keep troubleshooting as needed from there.

MemberError happened when auto updating to new version of events calendar.
In the theme directory there is not a custom ‘events’ folder.
In the plugins directory there are two files: the-events-calendar and
events-calendar-proNo custom overrides that I am aware of – unless done by the solostream
wp clear theme.No custom code.
Works fine with evens calendar running. Only when I activate events
calendar pro is there a problemI get a couple of messages when I activate pro
And, a similar message when ’emptying cache’

MemberThanks Michelle. If you’re getting errors when clearing your browser cache, it sounds like there may be something else at play. One last thought: you don’t have “Debug Events Display issues” checked under Settings -> The Events Calendar, do you? If so please turn that off and let me know if the issues with activating PRO persist.
If the solution above doesn’t do the trick please send a set of admin credentials to pro /a/ tri.be, with a link to this thread, so our devs can check this out on the backend of the site. Beyond that let’s keep discussion on the issue tracked here at the thread so we’re tracking it all in the same place. Thanks in advance.

MemberDebug events display issues was checked. I unchecked it. Then I activated Events Calendar Pro again and the same thing happened. Thought we might have had it! Ugh.
I’ll go ahead and send admin credentials to the link stated and I’ll stay on this thread from now on.
Thank you!
Michelle

ParticipantHi Michelle, I think I’ve got this fixed 🙂 i uploaded fresh copies of the base and pro plugins and that seems to have fixed it. Not quite sure what was wrong with the copy you had, but at least its working now! Please take a look and confirm this is the case.
