I believe you can accomplish this while using a third-party plugin such as Members.

Hi, I already searched your site and found this info and it does not do what we need.

I want editors to be able to see the setting area of the events plugin only.

The only way to do it with an extension is to allow editors to manage options which opens up many other areas they can edit which we dont what them to be able to have / see.

Thank you for writing back.

You are right. To be able to manage settings does require the WordPress user role to be able to manage options. We simply followed WordPress best practices guidelines on this one.

One possible workaround would be to use Members in combination with something else such as the Adminimize plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/

I think this would offer the level of control you are looking for.
