ParticipantHave had The Events Calendar Pro and Events Tickets Plus working with WooCommerce for a long time now with no issue. After the WordPress and plugin updates it has taken a totally random turn. Listed below are some of what I have noticed thus far. Any help would be appreciated.
Site is allsaintsbh.org/calendar. The event in question is the “Winter Coat Drive”. The event on the 4th shows fine, the event on the 11th and 18th does not. This also occurs randomly in future months. See notes below for details.
1. Recurring Events – Month View
– Events will show on the calendar (3 viewable and then the “View All” button). The event in question shows in the top 3 and is clickable. Everything works fine. You are taken to the event details and all is well.
– If you click the “View All _ Events”, the event in question does not show in the list. Actually, on some dates it does and others it does not. Very random.
– If you are in the event and click the “See All” link, nothing shows. This is the case for all recurring events and not just this particular event.2. Recurring Events – List View
– If you are in list view for that particular day, all the events show without issue.
– If you are in list view for the entire month, you will not see all of the events. One day has 13 events and only one is showing another day has multiple events and they are all showing.3. Recurring Events – Day View
– Same issue as above. It will show all but one event in the list. The settings page in the admin area seems to be pretty messed up as well. The formatting on the page changes and I am not able to see some of the text associated with the fields. Also unable to add tickets to events at this time either. I have a post on the Tickets forum as well. I am assuming it is all related.
I have moved the entire site over to a dev site and it had the same issues. I changed themes with no success and disabled all the plugins with no change. Everything is up to date as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ParticipantI just started using the event logging in the help section of The Event Calendar. I am getting several instances of the following:
2016-12-09 16:59:56 Invalid instance of a recurring event was requested ($1) redirecting to $2https://www.allsaintsbh.org/calendar/winter-coat-drive-on-the-patio-today-2/all/ warning Tribe__Events__Pro__Main::detect_recurrence_redirect
The log file shows this issue with nearly all recurring events.

KeymasterHello Douglas,
Thanks for going Pro dude! I’m really sorry about these issues with the recurring events.
One of those I could already recreate on my local install, so we might be facing a bug here. I ask for a bit of patience until I investigate the other issues as well. Please hang in there.
Meanwhile a workaround can be downgrading to 4.3.3.
Thanks for your patience!
Cheers,

ParticipantThank you for getting back to me. I tried downgrading and it had no effect. I have been having other random issues as well with creating tickets. I have been working through it with Nico on the thread below. Thus far, no solution. I am assuming they are related in some fashion.
I have attempted to remove Dreamhosts “added security”, the SSL certificate, had them check to see if there is a server issue blocking requests from admin-ajax.php and now attempted to downgrade the plugins with no luck at all. I hope we can work this out soon.

ParticipantAndras,
Just wanted to let you know I resolved the other issue with the tickets not saving to an event. I believe these are separate issues now. I recreated the site as close as possible on a development/staging site (I had done this before but not as exacting) and started testing out plugin conflicts for the third time. I found the conflict with Google Sitemaps by BestWebSoft. Turned it off and I can now add tickets to events without issue.
The calendar showing all the events is still an issue. I am confident you guys will work through it and have a fix in the near future.
Thank you again for the assistance,

ParticipantJust got an update to the calendar and it corrected the issue of the events not showing but now we have duplicates in the addresses for some events and others wont allow us to add a location, thus the map does not show.
Example of duplicate addresses and one that does not show the map is at the bottom of the list: https://www.allsaintsbh.org/calendar/2016-12-24/
Still receiving this error as well:
2016-12-13 14:46:47 Invalid instance of a recurring event was requested ($1) redirecting to $2https://www.allsaintsbh.org/calendar/the-monday-meal-2015-11-30/all/ warning Tribe__Events__Pro__Main::detect_recurrence_redirect

ParticipantHello!
I wanted to inform you that we just shipped a Hotfix for The Events Calendar, so it is now at version 4.3.4.2. While the recurring events features are part of Events Calendar Pro, code within The Events Calendar is related to some of the problems with the /all/ page, and the hotfix we just published should fix those so that the /all/ page for recurring events works again.
You can learn more about the hotfix release here.
Please update The Events Calendar to 4.3.4.2 and let us know if this helps with the issues for recurring events on /all/ pages!
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks George, I applied the hot fix earlier today and ended up with the issues I described in my earlier post. Please have a look when you can. Pretty sure it’s related.

KeymasterHey Douglas,
Thanks for getting back to us on that. Let’s go one by one and let’s try to tackle these issues.
1. Recurring Events – Month View
– If you click the “View All _ Events”, the event in question does not show in the list. Actually, on some dates it does and others it does not. Very random. Can you share with me an example? Please note, that when you click on “View All”, then past events will not be listed there, only the future ones. Is this maybe the case?
– If you are in the event and click the “See All” link, nothing shows. This is the case for all recurring events and not just this particular event.
I tested your site and seems to be working fine. Can you confirm?
2. Recurring Events – List View
– If you are in list view for the entire month, you will not see all of the events. One day has 13 events and only one is showing another day has multiple events and they are all showing. Can you share an example here as well?
Note, there is a setting under Events > Settings > General tab > Recurring event instances with which you can hide the recurrences in list views. This is how it looks like: https://cloudup.com/ihhTKr74dfq
If I look at the screenshot of the messed up admin, this is checked. (The second checkbox.) I believe if you remove that check, then this should be solved.
3. Recurring Events – Day View
– Same issue as above. It will show all but one event in the list.Same as above, can you please share an example here as well?
The settings page in the admin area seems to be pretty messed up as well.
Is this still the case, is it still messed up? Is it also messed up when you switch to a default theme like twentysixteen and deactivate all plugins except The Events Calendar?
If yes, then please open the Web Developer tools in your browser, go to Console and reload the settings page. Then check if you see any error messages in the console.
Also, you can try to reinstall the Calendar plugins and see if that solves it.
Waiting to hear back from you.
Cheers,

ParticipantHey Andres,
The hotfix corrected the issues. I reinstalled the plugin(s) and it corrected the admin issues as well. Sadly, after the hotfix I ended up with a new problem. I started a new thread for the issue. Now I am getting duplicate addresses in events (one is a link the other is not) and I can not add a venue to an event. May be a new plugin conflict or an additional bug. I guess I have more work to do to track down the issue(s). I appreciate the assistance. I will close out this thread.
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Douglas,
I’m happy to hear that the hotfix solved the issue. One down.
Thanks for opening a new thread with the new issue. It helps us immensely to keep things clean here. Much appreciated.
I am going to close this ticket, and as you already did, if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic in the forum and we will help you out.
Cheers,
AndrasPS: If you like our plugin, and you didn’t yet do so 🙂 we would be happy to receive a review in the wordpress.org repository. Thanks!
