_eventstartdate in revolution slider

Hi there,

Before i gone buy the pro version i want to know the solution how to format the date _eventstartdate into a normal date for the revolution slider?

The revolution slider uses {{meta:_evenstartdate}} and then the event date is show as text like yyyy-mm-dd uu:mm:ss.
But i want only to show the date and like this dd-mm-yyyy.

I see allot of questions about the format _eventstartdate but no solutions..
i cant buy this without a sollid solution i can use in the function.php.
