_event startdate format Revolution Slider

Hi,

I’m using your plugin with Revolution Slider.
The slider displays the upoming events showing for each one :
1. Title
2. Event start date and time
3. Event venue

Revolution Slider enables to create “post-based slider”.
You can add meta ;
1. Title = {{title}}
2. Event start date and time= {{meta:_EventStartDate}}; but it comes through in the format YY/MM/DD 00:00:00. I’d like to have this format : 21 Octobre 2016 – 17:00.

I wanted to know if you found how to fix it.
3. Event venue : I couldn’t find the meta key in here https://cl.ly/1f2C132a372j. It has to show the name of the venue.

I’d also would like to know if it’s possible to change the design of the upcoming event shortcode.

Hi Mona. That is the right forum thread to link to; good job finding it.

In that thread, I provided a custom shortcode, but there was no {{id}} parameter available via Slider Revolution so I tweeted them to add it, and it sounded like it would be added soon.

I’d suggest getting their latest version and — if it’s newer than version 5.2.6 — contact their support asking if a merge field like {{id}} (may have ended up with a different name) is or will soon be available.

{{id}} made it into version 5.3. It works perfect with @Cliff ‘s plugin. Well done!

Mona, I understand you have Revolution Slider as part of your theme and it hasn’t been updated yet. Of course, I hope they do update it soon.

Regarding your question about creating something like the “Upcoming Events – Grid View” from http://demo.wpsleek.com/?item=wp_proeventcalendar with Revolution Slider, we do not provide such how-to help for Revolution Slider.

However, I’d recommend starting by trying a shortcode plugin that can pluck each event’s (i.e. each tribe_events post’s) metadata.

You may want to take a look at Essential Grid. It’s by the same maker as Revolution Slider. It supports custom post types and meta the same way that Slider Revolution does.

I’ve bought Essential Grid and it’s perfect !!!
It does exactly what I need since it enable to add meta data, so it displays venue/time etc…
