    Hi,

I am currently using The Events Calendar PRO. Every time I update or publish an event, it creates a 500 HTTP Error (See attached image in next post). I deactivated all the plugins and found that WPML String Translation is causing the trouble.

The changes I’ve made to the event is saved, but something goes wrong when it has to return to the event editing page.
Can you help me with a solution that fixes the issue?

    Best Regards,
    M

Good afternoon Signe and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the error 500 messages you are receiving.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are a couple of things I would  like to recommend:

    1. Please look at your settings for max execution time (currently max_execution_time = 0)
    2. Please ensure you have followed these instructions for setup with WPML https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    3. Please make sure you are using the following to create events with WPML: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
    4. Please make sure you are using directory based language URLs (and not the ?lang= method)

Finally, according to Norton Antivirus, your staging site contains malware. You might want to look into that.

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
