There was an open thread about this very issue, but it is closed, so I’ll open a new one.
Using TEC 3.2, the iCal link is still generating a URL that is a 404. Google bot is complaining about lots of 404 errors.
Easiest place to see it in action is your own demo site.
    1) Go to a Day view page like this one: http://wpshindig.com/events/2013-11-24/
    2) Press the iCal import button, which works as designed.
    3) View source code for page. You’ll find this URL being rendered: http://wpshindig.com/events/2013-11-24/ical/. That URL goes to a 404 page.

Can you re-open this issue since it doesn’t appear to be fixed?

The urls on our site look fine to me:
    http://screencloud.net/v/yksQ
    http://screencloud.net/v/32h8

as well as the day event
    http://screencloud.net/v/l5lO

Looks like you are checking this with Firebug. Do a view source directly in Chrome, Firefox or IE. All three browsers will show the faulty /ical/ URL in the source. I can see pretty clearly that Googlebot is pickup up the same URL as well.

Are you rewriting those URLs in jquery, such that Firebug would pick it up? I suggest you “fetch as googlebot” on one of your pages in webmaster tools to see what googlebot is seeing. Clearly the three browsers are seeing the /ical/ URL.

Actually I was using Chrome. Found it actually on a different day view actually. Good catch. We’ll look into it.

We’ve logged this and we’ll fix it in a maintenance release (our next one is due in the beginning of December)
