    HI,
I just wanted to check in and see if there’s been any further update on this problem?

I have the same issue that Crosby mentioned at the beginning, switching form Calendar view to Events List results a 404 page (changing the slug to “event” also works as he describes). I found that by changing the default view to list in the Events settings and then back to calendar will temporarily correct the issue but once the language is switched (in our case from English to French) if you return to English the Event List will be broken again. Oddly, the calendar and event list seem to work properly in French which is the secondary language.

    Thanks for any information.

    Hi madfatter,

Unfortunately no, there is not update on this. The only thing I can tell you is we won’t be doing anything with this until 3.x (after 3.0 is released).

    Regards,
    Jonah

Hi, I have the same problem on my multilingual site (German/English/Rumantsh : Switching from Calendar view to List view randomly results in a 404 page.
The url shown is sometimes even the same as when it works, for example: domain/events/upcoming can result as it is supposed to on the list page but sometimes (often after language switch) it results on a 404 page. Sometimes upcoming is also translated in the url, resulting in a 404 page. I was not able to see exact patterns when it works and when not. NOTE that the events on this particular site are NOT even set to be translatable. (Doing this made all old events, that where converted on upgrade of The Events Calendar, disappear – a problem I have yet to search for on the forum…)
Also the “see all events” link under the sidebar event list is only randnomly working with WPML.

These are definitely WPML/The Events Calendar compatibility problems. As The Events Calendar has a long standing reputation of causing problems with WPML (or the other way round) I hope this becomes finally a high priority. It is disappointing to see stated earlier in this thread that it is classified “high priority” just to read later on that fixing of this can’t be expected in the next big update. Please keep us posted on progress regarding this.

It is disappointing that I reported this issue almost 3 months ago and still there is no fix even planned yet for the problem.

Can you give us an idea of when v3 will be released and when this problem will be fixed? Will the fix come as part of v3?

    Hi guys,

Sorry, there is still no update on when 3.0 will be coming out other than soon, and like I said we won’t be doing anything with WPML compatibility until post 3.0 launch.

    Hello,

We are excited to report that our upcoming release, The Events Calendar 3.12, includes changes that greatly improve the compatibility between The Events Calendar and WPML. We’ve been working hard on this integration for some time and we want to specifically thank all of our users who requested and waited for this feature. We appreciate all of the support and patience!

Version 3.12 of The Events Calendar will greatly improve compatibility with WPML, but we still have work to do. If you run into any problems integrating the two plugins, please post in our forums so that we can look into the issues. We’ll be on the look out for tweaks and fixes that will improve things further.

Thank you again to everyone who has been waiting for this! The Events Calendar 3.12 is coming soon- watch your WordPress Updates page!

    Best,
    Leah
    and The Events Calendar team
