Hey guys, before the new release the excerpt was huge but now after updating and loosing the fix you guys gave. I think it still needs to be shortened up so where to go and change it? I went to general.php inside the main events calendar plugin and nothing it has 55 default but if i change that number nothing happens.

Fortunately, it’s pretty simple to change the excerpt length. I went into the two best methods for doing this in this other thread here → https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/increase-word-count-on-listview/#post-1041664

I’ve tried the function and it doesn’t work, but thats maybe theme related.
Going for the other approach.I would change which file exactly?
Its not the content inside the post, aka single-event.php that i want to change is the main page where all the events are listed. The view that i picked as default os photo view.The general.php file has no
<?php echo tribe_events_get_the_excerpt(); ?>
to be replaced by the other previous stated solution.Ok! Found the solution inside the theme itself.
For anyone using the Salient Theme the change on the excerpt of the events can be made directly inside the theme options (blog) section.😉
