    Guys,

    I was surprised to discover that an event happening today at noon to 1pm still shows up at 2pm. I thought this was something that was going to be addressed in an update.

    It just doesn’t look good on my site when the premium spot (i.e. first places) are things that have already finished.

    Is it really that hard to implement?

    What is the ETA of this?

    Hi,

    Sorry to disappoint and the issues you are having with this.

    We do have a fix in this release to remove events from the Photo View, List View and Event List Widget after they have passed.

    Is it happening in those views on your site?

    I am seeing an issue where the query is using UTC 0 time and not the local time and events are removed to early for me as I am on the East Coast of the U.S.. I am working on getting that resolved before the official release of 3.10.

    I think that would cause the issue for you as it would think it is much earlier in the day then it truly is for you.

    However can you confirm as well that this is not a caching issue.

    Sorry again for the glitch and thanks for bringing it up. I am working on it getting resolved now.

    Hi Brian,

    I should have known you guys would have it under control! 🙂

    I am in UTC+10. Right now it is 12:45pm (winter and cold!) and I’ve added a new event to 9-10am today.

    By rights it should never show up – but it is there.

    The event know’s it has passed as it shows the “This event has passed” box when you view it.

    I only use the Photo’s view and I’ve removed the “Bar” so I can’t easily change the view (unless you tell me how in the url)

    I hope you get the fix sorted. Let me know if there is any help in testing I can perform for you.

    Hi,

    No worries, thanks for bring it up.

    We were able to patch the 3.10 release to fix it and I tested in Photo View and that is working now along with the the List View and Event List Widget.

    So you should be good.

    When you update to the 3.10 official release please let us know if that is not the case.

    I wanted to let you know 3.10 is released however the release candidate for the core of the Events Calendar will not automatic update.

    So you have to deactivate and delete it and then add it back from WordPress.org.

    Sorry for the extra steps with that.

    I updated the live site with 3.10 and I am pleased to see that the events are removed from the view when their time is up.
