    Version 2 has two widgets we used:
    events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php
    widget-featured-display.php

    We were able to customize BOTH widgets to the way we liked. The single-event widget was customized with image thumbnail and specific text. The multi-event widget was customized with advanced CSS and popover text bubbles.

    Version 3 has replaced these both with ONE widget:
    list-widget.php

    Setting the multi-event widget to display “1” even doesn’t work for us. Having two widgets before allowed us to easily customize both of them in different ways. How can we make ONE widget look two completely different ways?

    Why would functionality be removed with the 3.0 release?

    Hi Nicholas,

    Sorry to hear about the trouble. We removed the featured display widget because it was basically the same widget and we wanted to clean things up in the plugin. My suggestion to get two different versions of the same widget would be to use something like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-css-classes/ – to add a specific class or ID to your widget instance that you want to style differently and then style it differently however you want via that class or ID.
