ParticipantHi there!
We like your products very much, but now we mentioned in a control routine that there is a problem showing the right time. We would call it a bug.
We bought yesterday the bundle (calendar pro, aggregator, filter bar) installed it and started with importing meetups from meetups.com (only meetups from meetup.com). Everything looks fine at the first glance, but what we now mentioned, that all events what we have imported have a wrong time. All the events starts and ends now one (1) hour earlier. We tried to fix the problem with your different support resources here and did not find a proper solution. Many postings started by a client, one answer from your side (not really specified) was given, and some days later the topic was closed by the “Support Droid”. Not so helpful 🙁 (We only updated one event by hand editing the event posting http://www.startupdorf.de/event/startupdorf-grunderstammtisch-no-42)
It seemed to us that the problem what we described is a well know bug. Am i right?
Can you please offer a work around or better a software update for that problem? We would appreciate to get not a first level support answer – is this possible?Thank you
Best, Hanns

KeymasterGrüss dich Hanns,
I’m Andras and I’ll be handling your case. Thanks for using our plugins and for the kind words!
There are some bugs with imports changing the time, but it is difficult to say if your case falls into one of those or if it is a new one.
In case you can dig out and share with me the URLs to the topics you referred to, that would be very helpful.
Also, if possible, please share with me the URL that you are trying to import events from, so I can run some tests on it.
Thanks and I’m looking forward to solving this with you.
Mit freundlichen Grüssen
Andras

ParticipantHi András,
Du sprichst deutsch? Cool 🙂
Anyway. The problem with displaying the wrong “time” still exists :(. If we try to edit a single imported event via editing the event post in order to change the wrong timezone from Europe/London into Europe/Berlin does not achieve the right result. Time (start time) is still 1 hour late.
Same with changing the settings/global Timezone settings in the plugin: “Use the sitewide …” into “Use the local …” and vice versa does not work. Here both after importing a new event or manually “run an import”.
Also no result, if we change in the wp settings / general / timezone from Berlin into manual UTC +1 / or UTC +2 .
As i have learned from your posting “A key feature of Event Aggregator is that it runs entirely on our own servers” your Event Aggregator Servers might the problem.
The second problem what we mentioned today, that the automatic (sheduled imports) import does not work. Why? Because, the daily import is not displayed in the “Events Import History” – the date what is shown is 2-3 days old (it’s the date of the first (manual) import).
Something what is also a bit strange: In the Events Overview (postings) there are 12 events categorized as “ignored”. We have no idea why. (Pls. see the screenshot.)
You asked for the links what we used for the meetup import. Pls. check this overview with active events, but with a wrong time (-1 hour) : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kONUsoNxlifKkWmaMssVS2sbl0X-TJArOTwidT1E5Rc/edit?usp=sharing
Would be great if could help to solve the problem soon.
Danke

KeymasterHello Hanns,
I’m really sorry for letting you wait so long. I had a little accident and was out the last couple of days.
I’ll get onto investigating this right away and will get back to you soon with my findings.
Thanks for your patience!

KeymasterHallo nochmal,
I have checked a random meetup import and several of your urls.
Most of the events import fine. What happens actually is that if an event takes place before the Summer Time change on March 28, they will be imported one hour earlier. If they are after that date, they will be imported as expected.
This seems to be something we will be able to fix so I will open an internal bugticket for this.
Since March 28 is pretty close I’m not quite sure if the fix is going to arrive before that, but we will definitely look into this issue so it doesn’t come up again in October / November.
I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released. If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and reference this one.
Thanks and cheers,

MemberHi Hanns!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release for the Event Aggregator server is out including a fix for this issue 🙂
We truly appreciate your patience with this.
No action is needed on your end as this is all on our server side of things, but as always, we recommend you update to the latest versions of our plugins.
Please try it out and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
