When your Stripe for Tickets Commerce checkout type is set to “Accept credit card payments and additional payment methods configured in Stripe” and you’re an Event Tickets Plus user you will be able to enable to accept payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay when checking out.

Selling tickets via Apple Pay

The first thing you need to know is that this is a premium feature for Event Tickets Plus license holders who are using Stripe as their gateway. The wallet options will only be displayed in your settings if you’re the possessor of a valid license and if that license is being used on your site.

Once you have configured Stripe for Tickets Commerce, when you select “Accept credit card payments and additional payments methods configured in Stripe” as the “checkout type” in your Tickets > Settings> Payments > Stripe section, you should be able to select to enable the Digital Wallets for your checkout.

An important thing to note is that you will have to enable Apple Pay in your Stripe’s payment methods configuration.

Particularly for Apple Pay, you will also have to set up and validate the domain. Once the domain is set up, users that have Apple Pay set up, and they’re trying to check out from Safari, starting with iOS 10 or macOS Sierra, will be able to pay with Apple Pay.

Selling tickets via Google Pay

Like Apple Pay, this is a premium feature for Event Tickets Plus license holders who are selling tickets via Stripe with Tickets Commerce, and you will need to enable Google Pay as a payment method in your Stripe account.

Once that’s enabled, you will be able to sell tickets via Google Pay from users that:

  • Are on a Google Chrome or Android device.
  • They’re logged in, with an active session using a Google account.
  • Have Google Pay enabled and configured for the logged-in account.
