I am still in need of your assistance for the issue I am having:”Page name – says “Archives” – don’t know why and can’t change it!”

Your solution provided mimics much of what I found for solutions doing additional research; however, the solution has proved not to work.

When any or some of the php provided in the solution link, https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-browser-title-for-calendar-views/, is added to the functions php it causes the website to crash (error 500) which makes accessing the site impossible, both from the WordPress side or from .com side. It has required me to reset the site to previous day to ensure that my website shows as it should. When the php is added to header functions php / header php / custom header php nothing happens; no changes take place.

I have requested additional assistance twice now since original correspondence with “solution”.Do you have other suggestions in solving the issue?
