ParticipantSo, based on the fact that the buttons come and go with the theme, I changed my menu option at the top of the page to a custom link using http://myfergusoncalendar.com/events/community/list. This takes me to a list based on the user. The button issue on the page is a theme issue that either I need code under or they are not constructing the url properly for some reason to get to the /edit screen. I do currently have Bullet Proof running and the list works.
I did not re-addd my Sucuri firewall as that broke the navigation to http://myfergusoncalendar.com/events/community/add completely. Any advice on this
I am talking to total theme about a couple of things.

ParticipantI add the capability manager because the edit button was not working and another user had posted that this plugin fixed the rights for them and this plug-in did indicate to me that since I am only allowing logged in users to post, their role should be contributor as that role has the rights to events.
I am having my hosting site restore to last nights backup to remove all of the changes by bullet proof. BP writes a lot of code in htaccess
I have had restricted plugin turned on, turned off, and uninstalled with no change. I reinstalled it when you asked me to run in debug mode.
twenty sixteen made no diff other than losing my logout button. luckily i found one, but I can go thru it again after they restore all of my files. I am using the total theme as it claimed complete compatibility.
This is why I gave up on the events calendar the 1st time. Your stuff does not work but it’s all the other software causing the issue. I can’t be constantly worried that a new feature is going to break the calendar.
