Barry I intend to stick with it. I paid a ton of money for the customization I had done for my new website I just launched so I need the aggregator for work for us! You should take a look at our site using your calendar. I think it’s the nicest design and function I’ve seen using your products.

On another note can you help us out on finding events we can import using the other import options? I would have bought Eventbrite tickets had I known I needed it to import EB events. As it stands now I would have to pay to have it added I think because of our customization.

My question is, is there way I can search for google calendars in a particular zip code or area? It doesn’t help to import events from a google calendar if you don’t know who is using it for events. Same thing for Event calendar pro since that is the only thing you can use the URL import for. How can you search for them for your zip or region?

This would be helpful as we painfully await this FB fiasco. Thank you for your help!

    Barry,

I have read that even if you have an application in you have to reapply. Here is the link to the developer announcement.
    https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2018/04/04/facebook-api-platform-product-changes/
New App Review Requirements & Deprecating Legacy APIs
As we begin enhancing our new app review process and make changes to our platform, the Events, Groups, Pages and Instagram APIs will no longer be available to new developers. Testing of our more robust process starts today and the new process should resume in a few weeks, but apps currently accessing Events and Groups APIs will lose access today. Going forward, access to these APIs will require a formal app review and for apps using the Pages API, submission is required within 90 days once app review resumes or access will be removed.

Here is the link to the application: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review
Beginning April 4, 2018, all apps, including those formerly approved, must undergo App Review in order to gain access to the Events API, Groups API, and Pages API. Apps accessing the Events API and Groups API will lose access and require review once App Review resumes. For apps using Pages API, review will be required once App Review resumes or access will be removed.

Please tell me you all are in sync with this. I am also hearing FB is opening the API to some already. You guys gotta push for this. I can’t believe how many of your customers are asking for refunds already. Please make sure upper management knows this info I shared so they can push for approval.

Okay, I read through all of the info your site, Facebook itself and many others online who are talking about this issue. What I want to know at this point since there seems to be no updates from you since 4/11, have you submitted the application FB is now requiring from 3rd parties using their API and are you in direct contact with them at all?

Is this a top priority for you? I am stunned to see the Recent Issues have not been updated on your site since almost a month ago. I can tell you this is a huge concern for the many customers you have using the aggregator such as myself.

The other options you provide to import are very difficult to use. To import a Google calendar, first you have to find a source with your topics (our are local events) that is using a google calendar then hopefully get the import to work which I have not been able to do so yet. The other options for import are not practical for us except the URL option and again, you have to hopefully find a source using this same calendar in order to get it to work which I have found just one source and often times have to do the import over and over to get it to import.

This is really devastating for our business. We chose your software so we could move to a more aggregated method instead of manually adding events which is very labor intensive. We just got our site live and now we are facing this situation.

PLEASE keep your customers in the know on this issue with the FB API. For some of us it’s imperative function.

I am certainly disappointed to know I would need to purchase that module just to import the events. When i was trying to decide what calendar program I wanted to sue for me website, aggregator was in the works and sales copy had indicated we would be able to import Eventbrite with the new module. Oh Well…there you go. I thank you for the discount offer. For me, I will have to see what it will cost me to add to the customization I have had done first. Thank you.

    Hello,

Are you saying I need Eventbrite tickets even if I only want to post the
events not allow to purchase on my site? If I had known that I would have
purchased that with all the other modules I have. I have might site
customized and if I need to add this module it will cost me to have it
incorporated. In your sales copy it stated the aggregator would pull in
events from other sources besides FB including EB??
