Barry this is clearly a template issue. The solution that works is the following if this ever comes up again:

.tribe-events-month-nav p, .tribe-events-month-nav br {
display: none !important;
}

Of course one more search after I posted I found the solution. In anyone is having this issue this is the developer’s official solution (1 of many) I am sure you can make:
