ParticipantAny idea how fast this plugin’s supposed to work? The 52,000+ total has gone down by about 5 in the past couple of hours. Any way of speeding things up?

ParticipantThanks for the reply but it looks like a copy/pasted response?
The issue seems to be the problem with your recent update that you acknowledged here – https://theeventscalendar.com/release-events-calendar-pro-4-2-2-1/ – and provided a plugin to remove the erroneously created recurring events.
As I mentioned, I tried uploading this plugin but it immediately crashed the site. Are you saying that part of the use of this fix plugin is that you need to temporarily increase the memory limit? I’m just checking with the hosts to see if this is possible, but please confirm that this is what the plugin needs to do its work.

ParticipantI just tried uploading the ‘fix plugin’ to our live site, and basically the events section began giving 500 server errors, timing out I guess. I’ve deleted the plugin via FTP. Please let me know how to proceed – we urgently need this issue fixing but your plugin seems to crash the site.
Steve
ParticipantFor now I’m assuming it’s about this recent issue:
https://theeventscalendar.com/release-events-calendar-pro-4-2-2-1/
I’ll let you know if the plugin fix doesn’t work.
Steve
ParticipantI think we may have got there! I’ll open a new thread if there seem to be any follow-up issues, but for now the client seems happy that the conversion has succeeded. Many thanks for your help.
Steve
ParticipantMany thanks, this looks very promising. It seems to work well on my local copy. I’ll get the latest data from the live site, put it on staging, run the script, and get the client to have a look too. I’ll report back soon.

ParticipantThanks, I’m just trying to get a clearer idea of the state of the data I sent you. I probably mentioned what state it was in in my post which was deleted. Could you read my previous question again?
Steve
ParticipantThe recurrence description for event 3129 seems to show up in the editor OK. However, could you refresh my memory? It’s been a long time since I was looking at this and you (rightly) deleted my post where I uploaded the data for you. Did I give you ‘unconverted’ data for you to try out, or did I give you the data after my attempted conversion for you to inspect?
Steve
ParticipantAny update on this?

Steve
ParticipantHiya, is there anyone around to address this?
