NMAMAParticipant
Well, I redid it twice. The first time I took all the code from single-event.php and tried to make it fit into my themes blog post template that I was trying to model the post after. I used all the code and thought I put it in the correct order but I ran into the same issue. The second time I took the single-event.php file and just added to it the minimum to achieve the same look. That worked. Glad the issue is resolved but I wish I could’ve tracked down the culprit.
NMAMAParticipantI did a couple of things to try to troubleshoot.
1. I deleted everything except my functions.php file and my single-event.php file. One at a time until just the two remained. That did not fix the problem (find my functions.php code here: http://pastebin.com/NdunNwA1).
2. I deleted the single-event.php file so that ONLY my functions.php file remained. That DID fix the problem. To me, that makes it seem like the single-event.php file is the culprit.
NMAMAParticipantI’ve gone through and check for tags that might be missing. I can’t seem to find any. I don’t want to start from scratch because I did a lot of customization to get it to this point. http://pastebin.com/HtTJaaQ8
NMAMAParticipantIt works fine with my parent theme. It also works fine if I take out my single-event.php in the child theme. I’m wondering if I am missing something in my edited file that helps the google map execute. Everything from line 91 down is identical. Is there something above line 91 that I might be missing?
NMAMAParticipantIt does happen with all my events. It looks like an issue with my child theme. I have adjusted that page: child-theme > tribe-events > single-event.php. The only other files I have in that tribe-events folder are the other files I adjusted. Should I copy over others?
NMAMAParticipantJust an FYI about the 404 error. In case someone stumbles along this thread.
I was able to fix it! After I updated the .htaccess file I had the idea to switch to twenty fourteen again and see if that still worked. It didn’t. So I decided to go through the troubleshooting process again. deactivating all the plugins fixed the issue this time! So I went through and reactivated them one by one until I found the culprit.
So it looks like the issue was a bad .htaccess file AND a conflicting plugin.
NMAMAParticipantYou can’t be joking… it works now. The only thing I can think of is I just had wordpress regenerate my .htaccess file today trying to fix the issue with the 404 errors mentioned above (which didn’t help). Thank you.

NMAMAParticipantChanging the theme fixed the broken URL. I’ll continue to work on that with the template developer. The eventbrite issue still exists.
NMAMAParticipantIt is set to custom structure: /%category%/%postname%/. I changed it to Post name and the problem persisted.
NMAMAParticipantDisabling the Eventbrite plugin does not help. I can edit it in WP admin but when I click “View Event” I get the page cannot be found error. The events show up in my /events/upcoming-events/ etc… But when you click on the actual event it does not show. Example: http://nmama.org/events/upcoming-events/
NMAMAParticipantNow anything to do with my events calendar isn’t working. All of my events aren’t showing on their URLs.
NMAMAParticipantI tried these steps and still got the error both times. I also verified the API key again. Still having an issue.
