Oh wow, do I feel silly! Of course! I actually have several queries and loops in the navigation and the last one was not reset. Thank you so much!

I have determined the there is a conflict in my theme. I am using a custom theme, but no changes to the events calendar views. When I activate the twentyfifteen theme, everything is correct.

When I’m using my theme, the title is replaced with a title from the main posts and it appears that wordpress thinks the date within tribe_events_event_schedule_details() is the published date of that post, (which is why “This event has passed” appears)

I’ve used the events calendar plugin on other sites with custom builds and never had this issue. Its very strange that only these items are incorrect within the event. All the other event details are right.

Any idea what it could be? It would seem like it would be a setting within the wp-admin or functions.php.

This site is now live (http://firstchurchlf.org/events/) so I’d love to get this figured out asap.

    Thanks!

    Hello Brook!
Thanks for the tips. I’ve been corresponding with the client who is using this plugin. We wanted to take a look at your suggestions and see if we noticed any other patterns when adding recuring events. This is their response:

As of June 5 everything was still there.

As of June 12 everything was there EXCEPT Saturday night prayer meetings. They all disappeared.

As of today, June 17, the items that have disappeared are:

    1. Redemption LG on Thursday nights
    2. Prayer Meetings on Saturday nights
    3. Three identical services on Sunday mornings

The only pattern I can perhaps see is that the above three items are repetitive beyond a month or beyond four times, and so something tells the server to delete them all? But why just the prayer meetings would have disappeared at first but not the Redemption LG or Sunday services is beyond me.
REVO Summer Serve is repetitive up to 4 times total, GT is repetitive a couple times, as well as 2nd Saturday. Everything else is a single entry.

I would really appreciate any help.

I’m sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I run these queries? Where do I put these? Thanks!

I attempted this method, but had no luck.
I would be open to exploring another solution. Honestly, anything that would clear out all events calendar entries and allow me to start from scratch would be great! Please advise.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Geoff
I certainly don’t want to go nuclear and delete all posts entirely. Here’s where I’m at:
I’ve tried the Merge Duplicate Recurring Events method several times. Each time it waits about 10 minutes, times out, but it does delete a small number of posts ( around 100). Is this normal?

Its still not clear to me why there are so many duplicates of these events. My client has assured me they would not have created them, and I can’t imagine why they would. Is there any backend method to delete these posts (all with the same title) from the database? Or another method that would be more effective?

    Thanks!

Thanks Geoff! I’ve upgraded to the current version of the plugin and tried the cleanup plugin you mentioned. I’ve tried to “Merge Duplicate Recurring Events” 3 times and each time the site times out after about 5 minutes. Should I move onto the Event Rocket solution? Will that effect all the current events that I don’t want changed?

I found the solution! I was using term name where I should have been using term slug

    Thanks Rob.
Its made progress in that I used Jonah’s response to pull in the term names into a list. My goal is that each item of the list is a link to sort the events by categories (taxonomies, basically).
I was trying to use the same term name code to pull in the link url, but that did not work for me.
