    Hi Jeremy,

    I actually binned the API key again and followed the below:

    https://kb.yoast.com/kb/generate-set-google-maps-browser-key/

    It showed a slightly different set of options on what to select, i.e. Maps, Routes and Places.

    We are now looking at just getting the users current location setup with the Google Map Geolocation settings. Which will be interesting to see how that work.

    Thanks for your help with this. I will be purchasing the filters plugin shortly to get that installed and setup ready as we are just adding a couple of venue’s now.

    Hi Jeremy,
    I will take a look at the documentation. However the map has stopped working again. It was working fine Friday and stopped over the weekend. I had a look at he previous options you sent over about making sure there were no restrictions set and all is ok.

    I have even tried to create a new key and that made no difference. If you have a go and change the location to Southampton and search does it work? Also when it was working it would only work on searching for Southampton. It never picks anything else up in the address.

    Hi Jeremy, will try that this evening.

    Just out of interest is it possible to add “my location” to the map i.e. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/geolocation

    Or do you know someone that has done it?

    After further testing I have set the TwentySeventeen theme and removed other plugins which made no difference to the function.

    By accident i type something in to the “Search – Keyword” field such as Britpop and that worked fine on the list view. I then did the same with the map view and that worked too.

    I am fairly sure that the API key is setup properly according to your instructions and what else I have read.

    Are you please able to help? I really need to get this to work soon as it is holding up the website development at the moment.

    Thanks Jeremy, I will be getting it. Need to get the Google API working again as it has stopped for some reason? And is tell me that it is not authorised again 🙁

    Hi Jeremy, thanks for the reply.

    Will do some further testing this evening, just out of interest should the “Location” search search any part of the address for a venue? or is it just checking the city field?

    I will be purchasing the Filter Addon as well

    Hi Jeremy, interesting so the ‘use latitude + longitude’ was not ticked but gone in ticked and save then unticked and save and seems to work.

    However the venue I am looking at which is The Old Mill Inn(screenshot attached with the address details), the search only works if i type in southampton. Is there anyway of getting it to look at details in other field or adding another field that allows us to add additional info?

    Hi Jeremy, I have just been through the document and getting the same issue, in my Google account all seems to be ok and has a green tick!

    Thanks Jeremy, will have another look now thought had been through this yesterday. Does the whole search function need this API? i.e. including the list view?
