Actually I have managed to fix it – I used the code snippits plugin rather than adding to the functions.php file and works like a dream

I am getting the following error – which probably is the reason why it didn’t work before when I tried pasting into the functions.php file.

I’m not a php guy – does this mean I should paste the snippet into ‘pluggable.php’?
