ParticipantJust did another test using an old product ID (pre-TEC Pro) and that one shows up fine, so it’s def something to do with the product ids generated by TEC as far as I can tell. You can see the sold out event here – at the bottom – http://laugh-masters.com.au/events/
The short code Im using has 4 product IDs – the first three are TEC events, the 4th is the older sold out one: [products ids=”2850, 2852, 2853, 2674″]

This is making it hard to showcase classes that just went on sale…September 11, 2015 at 7:05 pm in reply to: Woo Commerce Shortcodes don't work in – Display Settings #1004479laughmasters
ParticipantI tested this using older product ids that were not generated using TEC Pro and they work, so something about product ids that TEC Pro generates is off…

ParticipantOK so just to be clear:
Month view will look the same.
List view will not look the same – since there will now be 2 events: the broken away event with tickets, and the 7 remaining events is this right? And if so, won’t this be confusing?
laughmasters
ParticipantDoes “break from series” mean that I now have 2 different events on the calendar? One – the first day with tix, and a second with the remaining 7 days of classes? How would this affect the monthly and list views – if at all?
laughmasters
ParticipantI did try cloning a single event, then going in an tweaking the content and changing the repeat date to th new class, but when I saved it, it overwrote my previous class, essentially deleting it. (sigh)

Participant3. Rearrange the info so that it doesn’t waste so much space? For example could we put this info into 3 columns?

ParticipantMaking a single event that is 8 weeks long means it shows up every day on the calendar for those 8 weeks -so that’s not pretty.
Making 8 separate events whether manually or by using the recurring settings you describe, means that it will look to people like they can just buy one of the 8 classes – and at what may seem like a high price since it would be the price for all 8 classes. So that’s good for business.
Is this multi-day event functionality something you will be adding?
I can’t be the only person who runs classes/workshops/events that span multiple days, non consecutively that fall under one class/ticket/entry whatever… right?laughmasters
ParticipantThank you – the problem with what you describe below is that our class is one “event” not 8 events.
Right now when we set it up as you suggest we get 8 separate events and they all appear to:
a) be separate unrelated events
b) cost the same for one class/event as the whole 8 week class should cost.I think what we want to do is create one “event” that has 8 consecutive Mondays in it.
Does that make sense?– LMA
