Hi Clif,
I use the pro version, after many testing with “Event list” widget the “Filtering by category” unfortunately is incompatible with “Visual Composer”. I have resolved using a shortcode and works fine, this one: [tribe_events_list category=”italiano” limit=”10″]
Hope it’s useful for other user that use like me “Visual composer”.
