    interestingly, even trying to load the events list in the admin, caused the site to time out!

    here was the error:

    I turned all the plugins off and used the default 2012 theme. the issue persists. it is a bug.

    i happens only with the non-breaking space

    it’s in settings -> display -> Add HTML before event content

    I found the issue: when you add a non-breading space & n b s ; (without the spaces of course) it chokes and erases your content. this is a bug.
