Thank you, Josh – we will look into the filter bar query option. In the meantime, we came up with another solution that gives a little more control over what events display (using other methods outside of the events calendar).

On another note, we did use a solution to link to the events page with the lat, long and general location of an area to list the full event list using the same method you provided in solution 2 along with Google’s geoloc api. Pretty slick!

Thank you for pointing us in the right direction – we will still be using this method down the road for a different version of the site.
