The link takes me to WordPress.com, and then I search for The Events Calendar. There is no heading like that on that page

    Hi Geoff,

That link takes me to the wordpress site for the calendar but I can’t see an option to download a previous version. Just says download 3.10.1. Just my inexperience I’m sure

Yes, lets try the downgrade. Can you send me the files or provide a link?

    Thanks

    Hi Geoff,

I’ve now tried all those solutions, no results. Deleted plugins and reinstalled fresh ones and other suggestions including the forum. Keeps coming up 404. I’m waiting to hear back from the system admin about an error log. The plugin was working until a few days ago so I don’t think it’s the server but what do I know?

Hi Geoff, thanks for quick reply

Seems the problem has evolved. If you go to the calendar page on the site you get a 404 now. Both plugins are the 3.10.1 version. I’m also using The Events Calendar Category Colors v 4.3.3. Tried deactivating it but nothing.

When I deactivate everything but the Calendar plugins I still get the 404. When I use the Twenty Fifteen theme it’s still “Page can’t be found”.

There is no custom coding for the calendar.

Tried pasting in the suggested code in the functions file to no avail.

When I go to Default permalinks the page doesn’t show at all, just a 404 message. When I change permalinks to post name the page/theme shows but no calendar.

OK thanks Julie. I’ll take it up with the theme developer, as this is out of my pay grade, but hugs always help.

    Hi Julie,
I’m not a terribly technical designer and switching the theme from one to the other scares the crap out of me. I’ve done a lot of customization to the current theme, are you sure nothing will be lost by switching back and forth?

Actually no Julie. Just checked it now, still has the problem of Sunday wrapping to second line on Firefox and Safari on Mac. On Windows Chrome when you use the dropdown to change the view nothing happens. spark-design.ca/church/calendar
