    Hi Cliff

I had not realised that the shortcode was not from your company – have now had a close look and see that yes it comes from another company.

Is there anything I need to do to get tribe-events.css to load?

    Thanks

    Hi Geoff

Very many thanks for your response. I had suspected this might be the case. It’s not too much of a problem as the site is under development, and I had done no configuration of Events Calendar. Can I simply delete the plugin from the site, deleting the data, and then reinstall the plugin – would this work?

Also, do you have a list of freelancers who are conversant with the plugin and able to carry out some configurations onto my pages?

At this moment I would say a definite NO! There seem to be some serious issues with the update. I will readily accept that it must be a nightmare to try and make the plugin compatible with all others, but presumably if everyone followed the same standards then they would work.
    My problems since upgrading are:
    1. Events that appear in the Admin area are not being displayed in month view.
    2. Events not appears in chronological order
    3. In List view, when moving forward to the following month, events just appearing at random
    4. Recurring events being duplicated for no apparent reason
    5. Sudden combinations on plugins stopping admins from logging in

I find it hard to believe that the sudden jump in issues being reported are all down to people having unusual configurations – presumably everyone has a more or less unique configurations.

Having read some other threads I unchecked recurring events instances. This has now displayed all of the events for the specific day (april 6th) in grid view. It seems that this switch now affects grid view.

However we now have problems with events not appearing in chronological order in grid view, and in List view, if you page forward the plugin appears to be displaying events in random order !

    What is going on ?

Thanks Barry – that has solved the issue on the popup. Now, where do I go to find out what pages control the actual event page and the widget as i need to remove the end times there as well.

    Thanks for your help

Hi Barry – thanks for your post. I am on a learning curve here, so I apologise if my questions are somewhat basic.
I went over to the Themer’s guide. So I have created a new folder wp-content/themes/my-theme-name/tribe-events

I then started to look for the file month-event.pho and single-event.php. and this is where I started to get slightly lost, as I cannot find month-event.php anywhere and seem to have multiple copies of single-event.php
    wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single-event.php
    wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/month/single-event.php
Am I right to ignore those and use:
    wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/pro/day/single-event.php

    Thanks for your continued help

    Hi
If I remember correctly, it was a problem in the Ajax of MetaSlider. They fixed it for me and said that the fix would be incorporated within their next update, which I believe has been released today.

    Hi
Just to let you know my own developer has sorted this issue out

    Thanks

Right so Kelly sees the issue, but you can’t – does that not say something? What is different on Kelly’s machine and yours – as its clearly showing up on multiple machines when we look.

Have you tested this plugin with the default WordPress 2013 theme, as that’s what we are using. I can confirm that when I switch off all the plugins on the live site and test, I still get the problem, but then that is not a theme out of the box.

Kelly said that she was raising the issue with her colleagues – what was the result. I am sorry if this sounds a little dour, but I am getting the feeling that I am having to do all the chasing.

    Hi Kelly
We are using 2013, but i haven’t had any time to actually test the plugin with an out of the box default theme. If its of any interest or use, I did try it with all of the other plugins deactivated and the issue was still there, but that’s not quite the same as using it with a clean theme, but probably a more realistic scenario.
Wait to hear from your collagues

Hi, Thanks for your help and indeed I followed your suggestion and have established that the problem occurs when a plugin – MetaSlider and Meta Slider Pro are activated. i have emailed them about this, but not sure what can be done as i have no idea where the clash could be.

    regards

Hi. yes we have tried all of the usual issues. Its really odd. Have tried it now on 6 different computers using a variety of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and IE; some of which have never been anywhere near the web site so cache is not a problem. All showed the same behaviour.

If you go to http://www.modburyteam.org/whats-on/ you will see all events in Month view. On the first occasion, the events will be in correct order based on start time. Move to next Month and then back again. Events will now be in apparent random order (but I think its based on entry sequence.

Do the same in list view, and exactly the same happens. First view all appears Ok, Goto next month and then back again, and the events are all over the place.

    Help !!!!

Hi Kelly. We are seeing different things then. In Month view, if you look at March 2014, on Sunday 2nd March, the services are not in the right order. Also if you look at any of the days where there is more than 1 item, if you mouse over the items you will see that they do not follow a chronological order.

i then switched to List view, and selected 02.03.14 and got some really odd results. At the top of the page I had an item 5ht March 2014, then one from 2nd March 2014, Then there were items from April 2014, then reverting back to March 2014.

I did take some screenshots, but can’t see a way of attaching them to this post.

    Regards

    Alex
