widget below filter bar sidebar

im using the filter bar in the sidebar and curious to know if it’s possible to add a widget below it? i’d like to put a button with a link for the community events plugin below there.

hi hunter,

i wouldnt think this is too difficult of a request, i’m just wanting to use the space below the filter bar for a link to the community events add-on. im not sure where else on the page it could go… except for at the bottom of all the event listings and that seems like it’d be hard to find.

You could add the button by creating a custom template as explained in our Themer’s Guide for /the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/bar.php.

thanks for the nudge, hunter… i got into the filter-view-vertical.php file and added some css to bring in text and a button. if you check out the link you can see that it appears right below the filter bar. do you anticipate any issues with this technique?
