Hmmm… I don’t the the Community Events plugin is going to do what you’d like. You’re looking to have venue coordinators post and manage events, whereas the Community Events plugin allows visitors to post events on the calendar.
Unless you were willing to give all your venue coordinators admin access where they would have control of all the events on the calendar (and more), you might want to look at a role manager plugin that would allow you to create a custom role and then give it access to custom post types (like events). You’ll have to look elsewhere to find that.
Also, we do have plans to finish working on a Conference Manager add-on that we started at one point. It might better help you accomplish your end goals here. There is no scheduled release date for it, but if you keep an eye on our social media sites we’ll certainly be announcing a beta whenever we pick up development there again.
