ParticipantWe are about to launch a site under development, red2.jordilabs.com. It will replace the live site, jordilabs.com.
When I went to Tools>Export on jordilabs.com, I got the attached XML export file.
After I imported the events into red2.jordilabs.com, on URLs such as https://red2.jordilabs.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=25000&action=edit, there are duplicate venue fields. (See screenshot).
Can you please let me know what you recommend we do to solve this problem?
Thanks,
JoshJanuary 30, 2017 at 2:48 pm #1226490Andras
KeymasterHello Josh,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m sorry about this duplicate venue issue. Let’s try to find the source of this.
Somehow the XML file didn’t come through. Could you please share it again in a private reply? If it is too large to be uploaded, then you can share it via a cloud storage service.
And for full clarity this is what you are doing:
- You export all events, venues and organizers from the original site with the built-in Tools > Export
- Then you import them to the new site with Tools > Import
- As a result you have a duplicated venue input when editing an event
Do I understand that correctly?
Also, is there anything visible or broken on the front-end due to this?
Thanks and I’m looking froward to helping you with this.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras,
You are correct!
Here is a link to the export file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ievzdn8bw970uz4/jordilabs.wordpress.2017-01-31.xml?dl=0.
The old site (from before it was replaced) is at rered2.jordilabs.com. I can make a login for you if you want.
Thanks for your help!

KeymasterHello Josh,
Thanks for the file (you can remove it if you want). I imported it but didn’t see the issue yet after checking several events.
Do you have this with all events or only some? If only some then can you point those out for me so I can check?
Do you maybe have a dev site or can you set one up where you can check the import again?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
We fixed the issue a while ago.
I was just alerting you in case it was a bug.
I guess in this case you can close this ticket.February 2, 2017 at 9:32 am #1228357Andras
KeymasterThanks for getting back on that, Josh! Can you also share how you fixed the issue? It might be useful if this comes up for anybody else, though so far we didn’t receive any other reports on this.
Thanks,
Andras
