ParticipantWe have just installed ECP and are configuring it for our site. We have List View set as the default.
Currently in List View, the venue address is populating below the event description. We’ve understand that it should populate under the event title and time (we’ve read that this is the default, and we see it in your demo). We are seeing the address render this way in our Day View, but not in our List View. We also prefer the “More information” link as it renders in Day View – immediately following the excerpt rather than dropped down below the address.
How can we have our List View look the same as Day View (and the way it should look according to Modern Tribe’s demo!)?

MemberHi Barbara and welcome to the forums! Thanks a ton for reaching out and I hope you’re enjoying all the plugins so far. 🙂
I see what you mean. Have there been any customizations made to the plugin or any of the calendar templates since it was installed? The venue information should display right after the title by default in List View, so the fact that it is not makes me wonder if there is something else that is changing the order in how it displays.
For example, do you see a folder called tribe-events in your theme directory? If so, are there any files in it?
Another thing we can check is activating the default WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme and see if the venue displays below the content there as well. This will help us know if there is something in the theme that is forcing that to happen.
Let’s start there and see what we find.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Geoff-
We tried activating the WordPress Twenty-fifteen, and indeed, it did display the list-view correctly.
As I understand it, Osmosis, the theme, is supposed to integrate with ECP.
There are also files in the tribe-events folder. What should we be looking for?

MemberExcellent, thanks for the info Barbara! This is super helpful.
Themes often integrate with The Events Calendar but might not keep up with the latest updates to the plugin. In this case, it does appear that the theme has customized calendar templates in the tribe-events folder. So, it’s likely just that the customization the theme made is a little off and needs to be corrected.
I think your best bet is to ask the theme author for help since they wrote the customizations and would have a better idea of what was changed and how to best integrate it with the theme. If the theme author has any questions for us, please do let us know and we’d be happy to help as best we can!
Thanks,
