David
ParticipantHi There,
I have an implementation of The Events Calendar Version 3.10, Filter bar Pro 3.10 with WP version 4.3.1. Things are going great. I have an issue I am trying to resolve and switched to the Twenty Fourteen theme.
I am running into a situation where I start in an event category via menu category URL such as:
/events-training/category/event-type/regional-events/
However, as soon as I select additional categories using the filter bar, then change view modes I get bounced to the main event listing and leave the original category area that I was in.
I get bounced to: /events-training/list/
I want to keep the user in the /events-training/category/event-type/regional-events/ category. The users think they started in the regional event category, but after selecting additional categories, then using the view modes, the actually end up in the main events listing…
Any way to fix this behavior?
Thanks,

MemberHi David. Please download the latest versions of the core/free plugin and the add-ons you have:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
Then please try your situation again and see if it is still happening.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi There,
I have tried The events calendar 3.12.6, The Events Calendar PRO 3.12.6 and Filter Bar 3.12.1.
Same issue.
Thanks,

MemberI’m sorry to hear that. Thanks for trying.
I asked you to make sure to use the current versions because I’m not experiencing this issue.
Since you said you tried switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme already (I assume you tried this again after updating your Modern Tribe plugins), I’m wondering if there’s a plugin conflict.
Could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Fifteen (or Fourteen is fine) theme and seeing if the issue persists?
If disabling the theme fixes it, we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict. Do you have any theme overrides for the Events Calendar? If so could you try disabling them by renaming your [themename]/tribe-events/ folder to ‘tribe-events-bak’. Did that fix it?
If the issue persists in the default Twenty Fifteen theme, then we have a different set of debugging steps. Please keep the Twenty Fifteen theme enabled, and also disable any plugins other than the ones from Modern Tribe to see if that fixes it. If it does, please try re-enabling the plugins one at a time until the issue resurfaces. When it does resurface, can you let me know which plugin caused that to happen?

ParticipantHi There,
I have installed fresh WP 4.3.1 with twenty fifteen theme. Same issue. The only plugin I have installed are:
The Events Calendar 3.12.6
The Events Calendar Pro 3.12.6
The Events Calendar Filter Bar 3.12.1
Same issue is happening.By using the URL I go to
http://www.testwebsite.com/events/category/event-type/regional-events/I start off seeing the following in the title which is good:
Upcoming Events › Regional EventsUsing the filter bar I click additional categories in the dropdown (checkboxes setting in the Filters admin).
I change views to map or month, but I am no longer in:Upcoming Events › Regional Events
I new see ‘Upcoming Events’ in the title and the URL has changed.
Thanks,

MemberThanks for those details.
Would you mind grabbing your system information and pasting it here? Make sure to use the “Set as private reply” checkbox to protect your private information from the public.
You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the “System Information” box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help)
That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Thanks.
