[urgent] Fatal error message: memory

Hi we are getting a fatal error message when we try to edit events. We have made no updates to the site in the past few weeks that might explain it. (We’ve made no updates besides adding content.)

We are able to save a new event. Clicking on “edit events” or clicking “edit event” while we are in an event returns this message:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 80740352) (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /nfs/c11/h06/mnt/200428/domains/seniorplanet.org/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Venue.php on line 44

This is an urgent issue.

We’ve seen the discussion around this issue in your archives; however, much of the discussion is via private message, and we’re not sure it’s the same issue.

Hello again Barbara,

As mentioned before, I would love to help you resolve this terrible error message.

Based on the system information you have sent, I am noticing a couple of things:

1. Your server runs on a fairly old version of PHP. I would highly recommend updating it to 5.4+ when you get a chance. In fact WordPress recommends 5.6+. I have seen some pretty odd behaviours with older versions of PHP
2. I am also noticing that your plugins are several versions behind (we are currently at 4.3.3).  I would highly recommend updating all your plugins.

Finally, could you tell me if the event you are trying to edit is a recurring event ?
If so, after upgrading, I recommend running the following plugin: https://cl.ly/3A2v3621470q
