    Hi,

I wanted to update the danish translation.

There are some terms used (for example for ‘event’) that while not inaccurate, could be better.

    Have read instructions here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/

When I try to open the language file for TEC in PoEdit it gives error message (invalid file) – I have tried downloading/extracting twice. The ECP file I can open.

    Thanks

    Hi Louise,

I’m sorry you’ve hit up against difficulties. Just to clarify, is this the file you are trying to edit?

    the-events-calendar/lang/tribe-events-calendar-nl_NL.po

If so, it does appear to open correctly for me when I test it locally. Is it possible you mistakenly tried opening the .mo file of the same name?

    hi,

    No it is TEC/TEC/tribe-events-calendar-da_DK.po

(Danish and Dutch are different 🙂

I did check carefully for the right file.

Anyway, tried again – now it works…so perhaps a restart of laptop was necessary after installing poedit ..odd tho

anyway – looks like it works now!

Glad it’s working and my apologies for the mixup over NL and DK – I can only blame a lack of caffeine 🙁

In any case, thanks for marking this as resolved and if anything else crops up please just let us know by creating a new topic and one of the team will be only too happy to help 🙂
