I tried to update the-events-calendar and it resulted in this:

Fatal error: Uncaught RuntimeException: Error while making ‘tec.iCal’: ‘tec.iCal’ is not a bound alias or an existing class. in /home/zzzCLIENTzzz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php:348

Entire site is down now. Reverted all to the old plugins manually – also did this with event-tickets and event-tickets-plus – still site loads 500. Need help ASAP!

Update to this: removed all three plugins – now our site loads but the entire theme is screwed up. These plugins are an essential part of the site so definitely need a fix.

    Yikes! Sorry about that.

We always recommend having restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.

I see you have PHP 5.6+ so that shouldn’t have been the issue.

Please download fresh copies of the latest versions fromĀ https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/, delete the existing versions you have installed, and then install the latest versions via wp-admin.

Hopefully this will ensure all is okay. If not, it’s likely there’s a conflict with your theme or another plugin, possibly one that’s trying to integrate with our plugin suite but maybe not doing it in the latest-greatest way.

Again, a staging site is recommended.

Please let me know how this goes for you.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
