ParticipantHi,
I’m having problems with Events Calendar making the WordPress menu disappear in the menu admin section.
Screenshot is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/monkeypuzzle/23410988012/.The error message isn’t visible on screen, but view source shows the following:
<b>Fatal error</b>: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in <b>/home/graphicstest/public_html/cairnha2/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php</b> on line <b>1135</b>
The problem seems to have occurred since upgrading to Events Calendar 4.0, or since upgrading to WordPress 4.4RC1. To rule out conflicts, I’ve disabled all other plugins on the site and set Twenty Fourteen as the active theme.

MemberHi. Thanks for the detailed ticket, along with your system information report.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue.
I see you’re using WordPress version 4.4-rc1-35761
Could you please try using the current release version, which is 4.3.1?
Also, does it happen when core/free plugin is active or only when PRO plugin is active too?
I’m not seeing this on my testing site and we haven’t had other reports of this, but I hope to help you resolve this issue.
Please let me know how things go for you. Thanks.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for getting back to me.
OK, I have tried using WordPress 4.3.1, and I don’t see the issue with that – the menus are visible. (This is with version 4.0 of Events Calendar)
With WordPress 4.4 the menus are missing with the core plugin only, so it doesn’t look like it’s related to the Pro plugin.
I can give you access to my test site if that will help track down the problem.
Best wishes,
Chris

MemberChris, thanks for the update.
We don’t login to customers’ sites, but thanks for the offer.
If you do notice issues with The Events Calendar with the latest WP 4.4 beta — with a WordPress default theme like Twenty Fifteen and all non-Modern Tribe plugins inactive — please provide testing details so I can try to recreate on my local site and see if I can replicate it. If you choose not to pursue it, just let me know that too, please.
Thank you very much.

MemberChris, sorry the issue you reported wasn’t resolved prior to the WP 4.4 release. We have now tested and verified the conflict does happen with WP 4.4 so I’ve set this ticket to Pending Fix and you should get notified once the fix has been released. For now, the suggested workaround is to edit menus in the Theme Customizer.
