Wow Bastien, this is awesome! I’ll start testing them and get back to you. Meanwhile, can you link me to the Community Events .po file? Looks like you did a double .mo 😉

Thanks!
Leah

Hi Bastien,

Could you also tell me what version number of the plugins you were translating from? We did a major update to the .pot files in 3.2 and looking at these files it looks like maybe you used 3.1. Would it be possible for you to update these with the 3.2 additions? You can download the .pot files for 3.2 in the Getting Started post.

Best,
Leah

Sorry for the delay Leah, I thought I was going to receive an e-mail when an update is posted here, anyway. Sorry for the typo as well, here is the .po file for Community Events :
http://www.mediafire.com/view/f8xo0fbmjnpbf5l/tribe-events-community-fr_FR.po

Honestly I didn’t check the version number, I got all the files from this post : https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/translations-getting-started/?utm_medium=email-support&utm_source=helpscout&utm_campaign=support

(the link you gave me in our conversation)

I will re-download the language files tomorrow and make sure everything is up to date.

Once again thank you for the opportunity.

Kind regards,
Bastien

Hi Leah,

I verified with the latest versions available on this link : https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/translations-getting-started/?utm_medium=email-support&utm_source=helpscout&utm_campaign=support

All plugins were last updated on : Thu, Nov 7 2013

I’ve worked on the translations the 16 and 17 November 2013, so they should be translations of 3.2. I verified the link I provided and the translations are 100% complete. Maybe you opened the wrong file?

Kind regards,
Bastien

Hi Bastien,

I really appreciate your hard work here, and your patience while we figure this out. Unfortunately, it looks like these .po files are missing a number of the strings we added in the latest .pot files, and contain some old broken strings that we also fixed. I’m confused as to why this could happen, since as you said you used the uploaded files and translated after 3.2 came out. However, the files are definitely missing some parts.

Here’s one example of a string that the 3.1 and earlier .pot files was missing (from the-events-calendar.pot):
```
#: lib/the-events-calendar.class.php:4116
#: lib/the-events-calendar.class.php:4128
#@ tribe-events-calendar
msgid "Date"
msgstr ""
```
As I said I’m really not sure what the problem is here. But would you mind updating the .po file again and see if the line above and any other new ones appear?

Thanks again for your patience and time.

Best,
Leah

Hey Leah,
No problems, however this doesn’t make sense, as shown on the screenshot below, the Date string is translated (and you can see 100% of the file is translated at the bottom). Does The Events Calendar pot files contains 743 chains? I only edited .po/.mo files, since the .pot file is a guideline, are you sure you updated the .po files?
Screenshot : http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/6601/ajvv.jpg

EDIT : Opening the .pot file for TEC, it seems there are 799 chains, not 743 (the number of chains in the .po fr_FR file). I didn’t know I had to open the .pot file to update the .po file. It occurred to me since the .po file was missing translations, it already was the latest updated version.

Will work on that and get back to you as soon as possible.

Regards,
Bastien

These look great! Thank you so much for sticking with me here. These are complete and lovely and we’ll be adding them to our next maintenance release.

I’ll be emailing you shortly with a coupon code to get licenses for these plugins. Thanks again for all your hard work!

Hi everyone.

Is there a new version of french translations please ?

I still get errors like “day” in list of search kind (month, day, list, etc.) and with recurring event that’s still in english.

Hi jordan0286,

The latest translation is for version 3.4, so it is getting old. However, no one has volunteered to update it. Would you be interested? Otherwise you’ll need to wait until someone volunteers. If you would like to help, please open a new thread in the translation forum. This one is very old and should be closed.

Best,
