Hi, we are launching our ticket reservations today and I have had a query or two which I cannot seem to resolve.
We have Events Calendar PRO and Events Tickets plugins; we are a UK Registered Charity, and as you can see from our site have populated 17th September as out Festival Day with lots of events with tickets with restricted numbers.
When trying to register for tickets is a error message [see attached] and I can’t seem to find the fields to add e-mail address and name.
What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do to all the tickets/events to make this work?
I’m not technical and am tearing my hair out.
Many thanksAugust 1, 2016 at 3:33 pm #1146292CliffMemberHi Lynn. I didn’t see any attachments come through.
It sounds like you’re trying to use Events Calendar PRO’s Additional Fields functionality or Event Tickets Plus‘ Attendee Meta functionality.
If trying to use ET+ with RSVP tickets, please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.
Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. example.com/events/rogers-day-at-the-zoo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.
The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.
However, I do not see that you’ve purchased ET+.
If you’re referring to PRO’s Additional Fields, or even something else, please share some links and/or screenshots so I can further assist.
August 2, 2016 at 4:42 am #1146470LynnParticipantThe first time I used the calendar as a trial I managed to get registrations with names and e-mail addresses for registered people.
Then I was upgraded to Calendar PRO and now there is no option for e-mail/name to be addedI am very confused
I do not understand why
Thanks
August 2, 2016 at 11:43 am #1146735CliffMemberThanks for the screenshot. I can see that you have the quantity still set at zero. Please change it to “1”.
If you’d like, you can reference this snippet:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/58cb269145d7187a45f9761128fdf338
It changes the default quantity from 0 to 1.
Please let me know how things go for you.

No, that doesn’t resolve any problems at all.
It seems that administrators of the website can RSVP and their details are logged but the general public do not see fields that offer them the opportunity to add their name and email and a comment if necessary.I can’t understand why it works for administrators and not visitors to the website events.
Anyway, if you have any bright ideas, I would love to hear them
Thanks
Lynn
August 3, 2016 at 9:25 am #1147125CliffMemberSorry to hear about this. Since this isn’t default behavior, my best guess is that your theme is keeping the fields hidden. Can you send me a link to an event with RSVP tickets so I can investigate further?
August 3, 2016 at 9:36 am #1147167LynnParticipantHi Cliff – this is the link that WORKED and I collected email addresses from attendees
http://lindfieldartsfestival.com/event/laf-team-meeting/Then this is one that doesn’t : http://lindfieldartsfestival.com/event/budding-authors-a-talk-by-eve-ainsworth/
Any ideas?
Many thanks
LynnAugust 3, 2016 at 9:53 am #1147176CliffMemberWell the event that worked is past so I cannot see any tickets available for purchase. Let’s disregard that one and focus on the other link.
I noticed console errors at http://lindfieldartsfestival.com/event/budding-authors-a-talk-by-eve-ainsworth/: https://cl.ly/2h3i2f2f2u0o
(If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Based on that error (my screenshot link), it seems you’re using Twenty Sixteen but have customized it. Instead, I’d recommend downloading a fresh copy of Twenty Sixteen and using a child theme to make your customizations to the Twenty Sixteen theme.
I’ll bet the tickets form works once you fix that error.
Also, you should disable any other plugins adding the Google Maps script to your site.
