ParticipantWe are having issues with any order that contains tickets. During the checkout process, when the user should see the form to enter their credit card credentials (WooCommerce Authorize.net DPM), they see the message:
This order’s status is “Completed” – it cannot be paid for. Please contact us if you need assistance.
The major issue is that the order IS completed and tickets are emailed out before the user enters their credit card information.
Disabling Try to set the status of new ticket orders to “complete” automatically seemed to fix the issue with tickets being given away for free.
This started happening when we upgraded to 4.4.1.

ParticipantHey Joe,
Thanks for reaching out.
I was going to ask if disabling that “Try to set the status of new ticket orders to ‘complete’ automatically” option seemed to help.
There are several reasons this sort of thing could be happening, but I’m curious:
1. Is leaving the “Try to set the status of new ticket orders to ‘complete’ automatically” option disabled something you can do?
2. If not, and you want to leave this option enabled (i.e., you want orders to automatically get marked “complete”), can you elaborate on why you want or need to have orders automatically marked complete?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George, thanks for the reply.
Unchecking “Try to set the status of new ticket orders to ‘complete’ automatically” did resolve the issues.
Pretty often we have concerts at our venue that are outside of business hours. In most cases, people can buy tickets up to an hour before the event.
It was nice that purchasers would receive their tickets automatically after a successful payment, most people expect this. Now, someone has to manually complete the orders before tickets will go out which isn’t very convenient.

ParticipantThanks for elaborating here, Joe.
I’m curious what you find if you head to this tab in your WooCommerce settings: WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Downloadable Products. Once there, see if the “Grant access to downloadable products after payment” option is checked.
If it’s not checked, can you check it, save your changes, and then let us know if folks are able to get their tickets before the order is manually marked as “Complete”?
More on this WooCommerce setting here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digitaldownloadable-product-handling/
Cheers!

ParticipantWould that send the tickets via email also or would they need to know to go into their account to download them?

ParticipantHey Joe,
Good question. I am only recommending it to try and address the email problem; what I am hoping is that it will get the tickets to be emailed once the orders are marked as “processing”, and not needing them to be marked “Completed”.
