    Hi guys,

Have discovered something very very strange. Ticket Number (using WooTicket) adds “one up” on the WooCommerce order number.

Like: “Your Order #5447”, which is confirmed right away in the browser, and then later in the email.

But then, when order is approved and ticket is sent (email), it is “next in line” and becomes “#5448”. If other customers buys tickets between my first order and the admins approval, the gap gets bigger.

Should the order numer AND the ticket number be the same?

    Hi, Martin. Great question! 🙂

I haven’t heard of this before, but it certainly does look odd. Let me do some research and get back to you.

    Thanks!

Hi, Martin. I apologize for the delay. Somehow this fell off my plate.

I’ve pinged our dev team to see if they have any ideas. In the mean time, would you mind confirming that you see the same behavior with Twenty Twelve and only The Events Calendar, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Tickets activated.

    Thanks for your patience! 🙂

Had a chance to hear from our dev team. The basic upshot is that tickets and orders are different entities, and hence they have different IDs.
The best way to visualize this: You can have multiple tickets in a single order.

    Hope that helps! 🙂
