ParticipantThe Events Calendar 4.6.4 is causing a conflict that disables the functionality of the WooCommerce product admin panel. Originally, I thought the problem was caused by the WooCommerce Memberships plugin. Here’s the text of my original ticket submitted to SkyVerge, the Memberships plugin publisher:
When I activate Memberships (essential to my site), I can no longer properly configure new products. The new product settings simply do not work once the Membership extension is activated. See screenshots:

However, further troubleshooting isolated the conflict to The Events Calendar 4.6.4. Here’s the response I ultimately received from SkyVerge:
It seems like it may be on the Events Calendar to fix though. From my understanding, it doesn’t look like that the Events Calendar needs to load any of their scripts in the WooCommerce screens, such as the Product admin page; which is what is producing the conflict – it’s only incidentally this is brought up by Memberships, it could happen with other WooCommerce plugins. I am not familiar with all the extensions for the Events Calendar, from the looks of it I can’t find a reason why it should create a conflict on the Product page.
If they need to load some of their scripts in the WooCommerce pages, they need to ensure these are compatible with WooCommerce 3.2. If they don’t need any of that, I’d suggest them they should avoid loading their scripts outside the WordPress admin screens they load their content on.
Would you mind contacting their customer support and notifying them of the issue you had with WooCommerce and Memberships, please? I checked their WordPress support forum and from the looks of it they might have been already notified of the issue https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar/.

MemberHi W David!
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue.
Unfortunately, we are aware of an issue with the select2 JavaScript library which was introduced in our latest update of our commons library and causes a conflict with some plugins. The good news is we have already made a fix for it and we are planning on releasing it in our next maintenance release cycle this week.
I have set this thread’s status to “Pending fix” and linked it to the report so we’ll let you know as soon as the fix is released.
The only workaround we’ve found so far is downgrading The Events Calendar to a previous version. To learn more about how you can downgrade your plugins, please refer to the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/.
We always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out and make all plugins, themes and WordPress core updates without disrupting the live site. We also encourage to make a full backup of your site, both database and files so in case something goes wrong you can always restore your site.
My apologies for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.
Best,
VictorNovember 14, 2017 at 3:30 pm #1383040W David Bayless

MemberWe released an update for this issue. Can you update your plugins (preferrably on a staging site) and see if that resolves the issue.
