ParticipantAfter upgrading to 4.4.0.1 of The Events Calendar the whole wordpress website crashes and returns HTTP error 500.
I moved at least all plugins except of TEC off the plugins directory and at least all themes from the themes directory except of the twentyfourteen theme. After changing all back to TEC 4.3.5 all is working as before. There is no cashing activated on this local development and test website.
The debug.log shows in the last 2 lines:PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65488 bytes) in [local-path]\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\vendor\lucatume\di52\src\tad\DI52\Bindings\Resolver.php on line 119
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Settings_Manager::add() in [local-path]\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\src\Tribe\Main.php on line 237

MemberHi Thomas,
Ack, sorry for the fatal errors! We hate seeing those pop up and know how frustrating they are. Props to you for testing on a local environment before updating!
This appears to be related to a similar issue I saw earlier this morning where one of our libraries (Tribe Common) is not fully updated in The Events Calendar.
Will you please download fresh copies of:
- The Events Calendar (4.4.0.1)
- Events Calendar PRO (4.4)
You can download both of those by logging into your account on this site and heading to My Account > Downloads.
Once you have those versions, please reinstall the plugins manually by uploading them directly to the wp-content/plugins directory.
I’m hoping that resolves the error. Let’s give that a try and go from there.
Thanks!

ParticipantI just downloaded from the download section of my account the TEC 4.4.0.1 plugin version file (the-events-calendar.4.4.0.1.zip). Unzipped it and replaced the existing directory of the-events-calendar in the plugins folder. Then the same situation as before: White screen with HTTP error 500 and the 2 lines of PHP fatal errors as above noticed at the end of the debug.log. Sorry but that is the fact. I can not use the new TEC 4.4 versions.

MemberHi Thomas,
Thanks for following up! I’m definitely sorry that installing fresh downloads of the plugins did not do the trick.
I see that there have been two other reports of memory notices after updating to 4.4 and that there is a high-priority open ticket in our system to look into it. I checked in with the development team and we’re still trying to establish a pattern, but it is being looked at.
I’ve added this thread to that ticket. I’ve also marked this thread Pending Fix so we can follow-up with you when we know more. In the meantime, please revert back to the previous version and we will follow up with you when we know more.
Thanks for patience while we work on this!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
