Structured Data advancements?

Hi, I’ve read quite a few posts here in the forums about releases this year that should help with google structured data markup but unfortunately I’m still experiencing numerous (100+) errors with:

hatom
Markup: microformats.org

hcalendar
Markup: microformats.org

hentry
Markup: microformats.org

hcard
Markup: microformats.org

The primary missing tags that I’m experiencing are missing: author & missing: updated.

Please point me in the right direction to how/where I can help fix these issues.

Hi Michael,

We recently spent some time making fixes and improvements in this regard but we did ultimately find that things were pretty much as tight as they could be without embarking on a quest to satisfy validator tools – which wouldn’t necessarily result in meaningful microdata.

That said, we are actively looking at some new proposals regarding emerging standards for embedding data and so further changes may well be in the works soon 🙂
