ParticipantHi there,
Still the same strange problem here: A new event listed will somehow not show the correct end time in the list view and the single view and in the widget.
View the link here: http://littlegreendress.nl/evenement/kledingruil-rotterdam/
It shows the current time as the end time. What do you suggest we could do about this? I could try updating the plugin, but I’m afraid my changes will be lost. Maybe you have a specific suggestion for a specific php file?It was working fine on my own server, but this problem started when the site was transferred. The old events were displaying correctly, but new events that were added showed the wrong end time/date
I hope you can help us out. Thanks so much!
Best,

MemberThat is really strange.
Is it possible that there is a customization somewhere – perhaps operating on a filter hook for the event schedule details?
If you take things back to basics and run only unmodified copies of our plugins with no other plugins and just a default, unmodified theme do you see the same thing?

ParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for your reply. I first made the whole site on my own domain name, and I just checked it, and it still works perfectly, with correct date/time if I create a new event. However, it is not working correctly on its own domain… This tells me that it cannot be the theme or the plugins or the filter hooks, because they are all similar on both domains.Any suggestions?

MemberUnless they are truly identical down to the last detail we’d really need to figure out the differences and look at what those differences are.

Are you able to run through the above steps? That’s by far the best way to go here (or, make an exact duplicate and do so on the test site).

ParticipantThe site was an exact copy, only content was added after copying… the plugins are all the same, the site is identical. Only one plugin added later on, WP google analytics. I deactivated that one just now, and the problems persists…
Please, is there something else we could try? My clients is saying we need another event plugin if this problem persists… but I am still convinced your plugin is the best one. Please help!
Thanks!

Membermarlies: I can completely understand your position – but from our point of view, short of logging in and troubleshooting it live – which would, potentially, cause some disruption in of itself that we would rather avoid, the basic troubleshooting steps already outlined are the best way forward.
To summarize:
- Please ensure The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO are up-to-date
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Switch to a default and completely unmodified theme
- Now test and see if the same problem with end times persists
I realize it may not be ideal to do this, but I feel it is also something that usually doesn’t take too long to do, can be done at an appropriately quiet time and often highlights the source of the problem that we otherwise might miss.

OK, but even if the files are identical the database contents may not be: different settings and options may be the source of this, not all of which may be exposed through the WordPress admin environment. So, again, I would ask you try the above steps.
Let me know how you get on 🙂

ParticipantHi Barry,
Please don’t close this thread yet, I first need a green light from my client before I start the testing. I’ll keep you posted!

MemberHi! It’s been quite a while at this point so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
