ParticipantHello,
I followed the instructions in the previous discussion with Rafa. The .po and .mo files are installed but the fields are not translating in the display.
Example: http://acciondiferidaaz.org/events/
Any tips please?
Thanks.February 5, 2015 at 7:40 am #940235Barry
MemberHi there B.,
Just to clarify: which language are you trying to work with – and have you configured WordPress to use this particular language?

MemberHow odd.
If I install the Spanish (Spanish Spanish – just es) language files for WordPress and choose that language it seems to work as expected, in the admin environment as well as the frontend.
For instance, where you are seeing Upcoming Events I see Próximos Eventos.
You noted you had installed both the .po and .mo files – I’m curious about this because our own Spanish .po and .mo files ship with the plugin, you shouldn’t need to install them. Are these custom translations?
Can you also confirm you are using Spanish Spanish (as opposed to a different regional Spanish translation)?
Thanks!

MemberHi Ezequiel!
I think you are facing a different problem since in your case only the dates are not translated.
I also tend to think it is not a problem with The Events Calendar as such: we depend on WordPress for date based translations and if I look at http://deradios.com/noticias/ I can see references to February (just as an example) where I would expect febrero or whatever the correct translation is in your case.
With that in mind, I’d recommend configuring your WordPress site to use Spanish first of all – if there is a problem with the translation that means dates aren’t being translated then, unfortunately, there isn’t too much we can do to help since it’s something that happens at WordPress level rather than plugin level 🙂

GuestOohh, allright then, but is there a way that i can change those values manually on some .php files then? ’cause the wordpress is configured to spanish, but got some issues in some translations, and the site has like 30 plugins translated, that to find out where exactly is the one making the issue, gonna be weeks.
If there is a way to change those values inside the plugin great, if not, dont worry 🙂
Thanks by the way for your help!!
