Hi the front end submission form has some tags in English and some in Spanish. Is there a file we need to use for the Community add-on to show the right language?

    Thanks,

    Rafa

Hey there, Rafa! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂

Good question. The Spanish translation for Community Events is current up to Version 3.6 of the plugin. Since the plugin is currently at Version 3.9, I imagine there are a couple of spots that are out of date.

Here is a tutorial on how to set the language for your calendar. Give that a shot and, if you’re still seeing untranslated spots, then it’s likely that the translation file needs to be updated, which you’re welcome to contribute to.

    Cheers!

    Hi Geoff,

No, I dowloaded a plugin called Loco Translate, which helps translate files from the wordpress backend, it is like a .po editor inside wordpress. The item I want to translate, seem to be translated correctly on your files, but they keep appearing in English. In Loco Translate they appear in a different color, like if they had a different status on that file, but they do have a Spanish equivalent. I guess I will have to download the .po file from the FTP and then see it there, not sure.

In any case, many thanks for following up. I will probably launch the community with those tags in English anyways, it is not like they would prevent anyone from knowing what to do.

    Best regards,

    Rafa

Thanks for following up! Glad to hear the strings are correctly translated in the plugin file, but I hope you’re able to find where the disconnect is happening.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but feel free to hit us up with a new one here in Translations forum if you run into any other questions–perhaps other members of the community will be able to chime in.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
