Show specific month as default in calendar view

I would like to have April be the default month in the calendar view (as opposed to the current month). How would I do this? I think this is likely in the table.php file, but I’m not sure where and how to specify a certain month.

The reason why I want it to default to April (and not just link to a calendar page with April shown) is because when I view the events by category, my theme puts the link to the main calendar page as a thumbnail link in the title:

Calendar of Events › Housing

I believe it’s a theme issue and not an Events Calendar Pro issue, but I could be wrong.

If I just specify h1.title a to display: none, then I’m still left with “> Housing” and I don’t want to have that arrow there.

So, I need to either figure out how to get rid of the arrow or how to set the calendar default to April.

Hi there Lynne. Thanks for the note here. While this isn’t doable out of the box, I can’t see it being too hard with a bit of customization. Let me see if Jonah can point you in the right direction when he hits the forums this morning.

Lynne, I spoke this over with a member of our dev team today and had him jump into it. At first glance this looked like it’d be somewhat trivial, but after examining the code, it is posing itself as a somewhat complex level of customization that’s unfortunately beyond the level of what we can support. I apologize we couldn’t help you out more here. Good luck figuring out a solution…if you do, we’d love to hear it on the forum here so other users wanting to customize this way had a route by which to do so.

Let me know what else we can do or if you have any other questions.
